SIT30616 Certificate III Hospitality

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have a range of well-developed hospitality service, sales or operational skills and sound knowledge of industry operations. Using discretion and judgement, they work with some independence and under limited supervision using plans, policies and procedures to guide work activities.

This qualification provides a pathway to work in organisations such as restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops. This qualification allows for multiskilling and for specialisation in accommodation services, food and beverage and gaming.

Examples of industry sectors employment may be gained in are Accommodation and Food Services, Entertainment & Recreation Services and Self Employment.

Food Safety Supervisor

A set of skills to equip individuals in hygienic practices and handling food safely during the storage, preparation, display, service, and disposal of food. This course meets the NSW Food Authority Standard.

The course covers the following units:- 

  • SITXFSA001 - Use hygienic practices for food safety AND
  • SITXFSA002 - Participate in safe food handling practices

It applies to venues that operate a permanent or temporary kitchen or smaller food preparation area, including restaurants, cafes, clubs, hotels, attractions, events and conference venues, fast food restaurants, retail food outlets such as sandwich shops and food court outlets. It would also apply to tour operators involved in the preparation and service of food at temporary sites.

This course meets the NSW  Food Authority Standard. Certification requirements typically apply at a state level to individuals involved in food handling or supervision.

This unit has application to hospitality, commercial catering and retail venues where food is stored, prepared, displayed, served or disposed of.

This qualification reflects the role of frontline retail team members who use a range of operational skills to undertake workplace activities in the retail sector.

This qualification provides a pathway to work in a diverse range of retail settings. This includes specialty retailers, supermarkets, department stores and quick service restaurants.

Individuals with this qualification are able to perform roles such as frontline team member, customer service assistant and point-of-sale operator.

CHC43015 Certificate IV in Ageing Support

The Certificate IV in Ageing Support is a nationally recognised and accredited aged care training course, It reflects the role of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community based environments.

Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation and review of individualised service planning and delivery.
